The Bunnies had been tricked by the Evil Peeps and their conspiracy to divide the Bunnies in an effort to overthrow them. However, the Bunny Purification Squad, sent to track down all of Traitor Bunny's cohorts discovered in their search that the Researchers were paid by the Evil Peep Syndicate to perform the horrible experiments on their brethren.
